Terms of Service
1 — Parties and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the products and services ("Services") provided by ZeroNonsense.dev, a registered company in the Netherlands ("ZND", "we", "us").
By installing a ZND GitHub Action or accessing zerononsense.dev, you
("User", "you") agree to these Terms. If you are accepting
on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2 — The services
The Services currently comprise:
- SentinelPR — AI-powered pull-request reviewer (GitHub Action, MIT licence).
- ReleaseScribe — Conventional Commits to CHANGELOG and GitHub Release generator (GitHub Action, BUSL-1.1 for commercial use — see §5).
- Future products announced via the GitHub Marketplace listing or zerononsense.dev.
The Services are provided "as-is" and, where listed on GitHub Marketplace, are also subject to the GitHub Marketplace Terms of Service.
3 — Free use
SentinelPR and ReleaseScribe are free to install and use via GitHub Marketplace. No payment or account registration with ZND is required. GitHub's own terms govern your use of the Marketplace platform.
4 — Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- Transmit malicious code or content that violates GitHub's Acceptable Use Policy.
- Resell or sublicence access to any Service without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend access without notice if we reasonably believe a violation is occurring.
5 — Licences
SentinelPR is licensed under the MIT Licence. You may inspect the source code in the respective repositories under github.com/zero-nonsense-dev.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of any intellectual property. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
6 — Data and privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services you agree to that policy.
Pull-request diffs and source code submitted for review are forwarded to your configured AI provider (Azure OpenAI or OpenAI) and are not stored by us. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit that content to the chosen AI provider under their terms.
7 — Disclaimer and limitation of liability
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ZND'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED €50. ZND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
AI-generated code review output is informational only. You are solely responsible for evaluating and acting on any suggestions.
8 — Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted exclusively to the competent courts in the Netherlands.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights applicable in your country of residence.
9 — Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of material changes via the GitHub Marketplace listing or by email where we hold your address. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
